Hello!! My name is Sara and I'm the main gal behind Growing Tree Photography. 

Here is a little about me as a photographer:

I love natural light. 

I love LOVE.

My photographs work to bring those two things together as much as possible.

Here is a little about me as a wedding photographer:

I love personal.

I love creative.

I love quirky.

I love honest.

I love romantic.

I love pretty details.

And here is a little about me in general:

I love my family more than I can ever express. I love that we have regular dance parties in our kitchen. I love that we are creating a life together that we have dreamed about for a long time. And finally, I love a good chocolate cake.

Motherhood and finding magic in the every day.

On the eve of Mother’s Day, I am posting an image that I literally just shot. It makes me so (damn) happy. I’ll tell you why. It reminds me of how amazing it is to be a mother. I have these two little spirits in my life that I get to love, nurture, and help to grow into the best big people they can be. I absolutely love being a mama, but as all of us mama’s know, it’s a difficult job. I love being a photographer, but as many photographer’s know, it’s a difficult job. Many things in life that bring us the most joy only come with lots and lots of hard work, determination, and love. And so today, my love of being a mother and my love of being a photographer came together and gave me this most special gift…

Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely mama’s out there. And may you find something magical today that reminds you of the beauty in your very special job.

Hello! I’m still here!!

Sweet Beach Wedding-Deanna and Sean

Deanna and Sean had a fabulous wedding day!! The sun shone just the right amount of warmth on that Mid-September day in Cape Cod. Everything about it was lovely and enjoyable.

A big thanks to my sweet friend, Renee Descoutures, a very talented CT children’s photographer for bringing her smiling face and impeccable eye. She contributed many beautiful images.

And now, because I like pictures better than words….let’s get on with it!!

 

 

Renee made magic with these two sweetie pies.I can’t believe how long it took me to realize that there were TWO of these guys! Ha!!! I thought he was just everywhere:) Here’s Renee enjoying my Ah-ha moment.
Deanna and Sean, It was truly a pleasure. Everything about your day was so wonderful. Renee and I had such a blast capturing it for you. We wish you all the best for a wonderful life together.
