I am so glad we decided to do Anne and Mike’s engagement shoot in their own backyard, because as it turns out, it’s pretty awesome! They have their own vintage tractor which is sa-weet and still works like a charm. They have a really nice neighbor who lent us his old blue Chevy truck. I wish I could tell you the year, the model, and all that car stuff, but what really mattered to me at the time was that it was blue. And awesome.
Anne and Mike have a comfort with each other that was so tangible and wonderful. They were a joy to photograph and totally up for all my ideas. I love that!
Thanks to miss Claire Ellen who helped me out on this shoot! You’re the best and your laugh is one of my all time faves!
Now onto the photos…

Anne wanted to make their own American Gothic image. “Of course!” I say to that.

And here’s that great blue Chevy! Love it… especially with the hay bales in back.

And now, it is my great pleasure to introduce you to… Beefer (his given name is Pinkerton, but Beefer just seems much more apppropriate).

He was so funny! His ears would lay back and Mike would make some wacky noises, then they would flip up, simultaneously to attention. It was so hilarious that I fell to the ground in laughter while taking the shot below on the right. So glad I got it:) He’s the cutest.

Thanks Anne and Mike for a great shoot! I am so excited for your August wedding at the Chapel at Wesleyan and the Bond Ballroom.
xo,
Sara

Michele’s mom got the royal treatment with two stylists!! Love it. And Michele’s lovely bridesmaids helping each other out with such synchronicity.
Meanwhile,
See! Love this shot, Katie.
And presto! She’s dressed! You’re so stunning, Michele.
Love these two shots. Especially since by this point the pace had picked up quite a bit and we we’re about ready to head down for the ceremony.
Katie’s lovely image above.

Freshly married!!! And so happy about it. These first minutes after the ceremony are the b-e-s-t.

Love this moment! And just when I thought I need to quickly move over for a straight on shot, I heard Katie clicking away and knew we we’re set. So pretty.

Love having two perspectives. Mine on the left and Katie’s on the right:)
Scott’s daughter Emma is also a photographer. Thanks Katie for catching this moment.
Michele with her sister and super fun friends. Such a great energy they all brought!
Little Ari had had enough with pictures at this point. Absolutely love this moment.
