Hi.  I'm Sara.  I'm a photographer and the main gal for Growing Tree Photography.

I went to college to become a psychologist.  I came out a photographer and an artist. Photography has given me many things, but what I appreciate the most is that it provided me with a new way to communicate: a language without words.

Over the years my photographic projects have varied.  My ultimate goal, though, has remained the same: find something beautiful, something special.  And when I find it, I capture it.  For keeps.

This is what photography does for me.  This is what I can do for you.  The goal of Growing Tree Photography is to celebrate your love and make it tangible for you; so that you can have it.  For keeps.

Bethany + Ben… Engagement Shoot at Gouveia Vineyard, Wallingford CT

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Bethany and Ben’s engagement shoot at the very beautiful Gouveia Vineyard in Wallingford, CT. I was so impressed with their willingness to go ahead with the shoot given the rain and very chilly temps! Fortunately the weather gave them even more reason to cuddle and be super sweet! I had such a great time and was so very fortunate to have their hilarious friend Sara (who will be a bridesmaid at their upcoming wedding) along who very kindly held an umbrella over me, too! And to end a great session with a bottle of wine… Who can complain?!

Bethany and Ben…. I am so excited for your wedding this July at Light House Point in New Haven, CT.
