Hi.  I'm Sara.  I'm a photographer and the main gal for Growing Tree Photography.

I went to college to become a psychologist.  I came out a photographer and an artist. Photography has given me many things, but what I appreciate the most is that it provided me with a new way to communicate: a language without words.

Over the years my photographic projects have varied.  My ultimate goal, though, has remained the same: find something beautiful, something special.  And when I find it, I capture it.  For keeps.

This is what photography does for me.  This is what I can do for you.  The goal of Growing Tree Photography is to celebrate your love and make it tangible for you; so that you can have it.  For keeps.

If you think you may break into song at your wedding….

Do it! But, get in touch with me first. I want to be there.

I sang a song for my hubby at our wedding and it was one of the greatest things I’ve ever done.  My words to him as I began to play one of the few Cat Power songs I could play on the keyboard were, “sometimes you don’t do things because you are particularly good at them, you do them because you know how much it will mean to the person that it’s for.”

It meant a lot.

So go for it! Do something really sweet and unexpected for your honey on your wedding day!! And call me, too. I want to be there to capture it.

June 13, 2010 - 11:58 pm Sara - Cat Power... ya and my wedding was almost 8 years ago, so I've been cool like that for a while. Even saw Modest Mouse back in the day when they played for only 30 people.
