BIO

Hi.  I'm Sara.  I'm a photographer and the main gal for Growing Tree Photography.

I went to college to become a psychologist.  I came out a photographer and an artist. Photography has given me many things, but what I appreciate the most is that it provided me with a new way to communicate: a language without words.

Over the years my photographic projects have varied.  My ultimate goal, though, has remained the same: find something beautiful, something special.  And when I find it, I capture it.  For keeps.

This is what photography does for me.  This is what I can do for you.  The goal of Growing Tree Photography is to celebrate your love and make it tangible for you; so that you can have it.  For keeps.

All my best,

Sara

Our own little bit of magic. Engagement Session Central Park.

New York City… a busy place, right? Central Park… a place to get away and find some peace. It’s not always possible to get that peace in a city that’s home to millions. This day…we found it.  We found peace. We found beauty. We found magic.

Lauren and Jared are getting married in April of next year. Since they are planning a wedding in a garden setting with sweet, earthy, vintage charm, I thought we’d set up a little picnic near Belvedere Castle. Quickly it became apparent that not only was the light incredible, but the connection and love between Lauren and Jared was palpable. With this sweet connection and the magical light, we made some really special images. I’m super excited about them. They embody my intentions as a photographer. To show love and connection. So thank you, Lauren and Jared for your wonderfulness. I can’t even tell you how excited I am to photograph your wedding at the beautiful Round Hill in Washingtonville, NY next spring.

And special thank you to miss Claire Ellen for being there to help out. You’re awesome, girl!

Enjoy the images!!

xo,

Sara
