BIO

Hi.  I'm Sara.  I'm a photographer and the main gal for Growing Tree Photography.

I went to college to become a psychologist.  I came out a photographer and an artist. Photography has given me many things, but what I appreciate the most is that it provided me with a new way to communicate: a language without words.

Over the years my photographic projects have varied.  My ultimate goal, though, has remained the same: find something beautiful, something special.  And when I find it, I capture it.  For keeps.

This is what photography does for me.  This is what I can do for you.  The goal of Growing Tree Photography is to celebrate your love and make it tangible for you; so that you can have it.  For keeps.

Wedding at the Town and County Club, Hartford, CT

This wedding season, I have the great honor to be shooting several weddings with the uber-talented and super awesome Katie Slater. Katie has an incredible eye and finds honest beauty and captures it in some of the most unique ways of any photographer I know. It probably helps that she’s training for a black belt in karate because this girl is quick like a ninja with the camera.

I wanted to share some of my images from Julia and Peter’s wedding at the Town and County Club in Hartford, CT. It was such a lovely wedding. Julia and Peter are as sweet as sweet can be and the details were amazing. Katie, thank you so much for inviting me to shoot with you. You know I always have so much fun with you, girl!! Congratulations to Julia and Peter!! xoxo

We made a quick jaunt over to Hartford City Hall for some portraits. Love that place! Such amazing light and architecture.
